I just found out the date for the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society 5K. It is going to be on May 9th. I am really excited! Our whole family did it last year for the 1st time and we all had sooo much fun doing it. It was great for us to get out and do something together...something that helped to make a difference. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get back up in the top 20 this time. Bummed...BUT now I am gearing up for the next one. Stock piling pics, videos, etc. I am really happy for the ones who did make it. No matter who wins or loses animals will be helped. There is nothing bad about that! read more

Now that the weather is warming up I got to take Molly for a nice walk today. She really enjoyed it. Sally, the neighbor dog, followed us. She is such a sweet pup. I really wish they would take better care of her. The three of us had a really nice time enjoying the heat wave. read more

I am originally from WI, now living in KY. It amazes me every year when there is pretty much no spring. It goes from freezing your butt off to sweating your butt off. There seems to be no in between! I'm not complaining by any means. But after living down here for 8 years, I am still amazed by the KY weather! I like to call it Sprummer. read more

The kids and I have been gathering up old blankets and towel to bring to the Humane Society. We also have a few shoe boxes for the cats. My daughter, who is 6, loves to drop off supplies. I will be glad once my one year old is a bit bigger so I can leave him with my husband while me and the older 2 volunteer with walking dogs etc. read more
