Well my little Charlie's surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday. Please keep Charlie in your thoughts as this is a very risky surgery. Can't believe that after 6 months the contest is over....well almost. I am so excited that our shelter - Little Shelter - finished at #4 out of 974 shelters. Charlie's blood results came back today and he is in kidney failure. This adds to the confusion of what to do with him. Do I do the surgery, do I not do the surgery....what is best for my little old man???? read more

After psyching myself up for the worst case scenario last night Charlie's visit with the vet went better then expected. She said that she would attempt the surgery since it seems to be just hanging on by skin. She took blood today and then if that comes back ok the next step will be an echocardiogram.
