The two mama dogs of the pups we took in at our shelter made their trip to Dallas last week. My Dad has the mom of all of the lab looking pups. You would never, ever pick her to be their mom. The mama dog(not the pups mom) who was transported with the puppies was adopted this weekend! That is fantastic. She proved to be a nice housedog who was housebroken and easy going. We have a beautiful Whippet at the shelter who is the most shut down dog I have ever seen. She seems to have absolutely no desire to even lift her head off of her bed. I helped bring to our shelter 14 puppies who were removed from a country farm. There were about 30 dogs including the puppies on this farm. Most of them are strays that hang around and continue to reproduce. The people at the farm can't afford to feed and care for these dogs who they did not want in the first place.
