We have a beautiful Whippet at the shelter who is the most shut down dog I have ever seen. She seems to have absolutely no desire to even lift her head off of her bed. I helped bring to our shelter 14 puppies who were removed from a country farm. There were about 30 dogs including the puppies on this farm. Most of them are strays that hang around and continue to reproduce. The people at the farm can't afford to feed and care for these dogs who they did not want in the first place.
