We are lucky at LHS to have such a wonderful staff. Each is different and has different responsibilities but all contribute toward making this a wonderful and caring shelter. The girls finally went to the grommer yesterday. They look wonderful and smell even better. I am amazed at what a difference their faces smell like when the hair around the eyes is removed. Besides, you get to see those great faces much better when they are a little more clean shaven. read more

With all the other smaller domestic animals (non cat and dog) posted, I was curious about thoughts on some of these animals. We receive small reptiles and non venomous snakes, some birds, and rodents. We don't have an interested adoption base for most of these pets and reach out to rescues - which we are lucky enough to have in our area. read more
