Henry spent time with staff today in the kitchen. He just loves the shelter and everyone in it. He has developed such a beautiful winter coat, he looks positively sleek. I said yesterday that its hard to imagine how he looked when he first came to us. read more

Aggressive trainers, mayors shooting dogs...what a violent species we are. Its unfortunate that we hear all too often how violent and cruel people are to each other and the animals we share our planet with. I have begun to avoid watching scary movies or reading books about crime. Its enough for me. read more

Its so cold today that Henry and I have the heater on just to keep the temperature a little more warm and toasty. He seems completely happy with the heater on - spread out on his bed and facing the source of the heat. Such a good old boy! read more

LHS has such cute dogs and cats right now - usually there are a few that attract attention, but now everywhere you look is a great dog or kitty. Webster is still there (who was wonderful at Liberty Science Center last week) as well as Buttercup and a host of adult cats and kittens. Please come by and find the love of your life! read more
