Copper arrived at Maxfund in July of 2007 as a skinny, old, arthritic, unneutered stray. He appeared to be a shepherd-lab mix. He had old scars on his handsome face. We adopted Benny in July, 2004. We'd gone over to the MaxFund, and there he was, pacing back and forth in his kennel in the small dog room. The room was full of dogs, all barking except for him.
