I was working on my landscape yesterday and came acrossed an anole that was moulting. It was completely covered with a veil of loose skin that was only attached in a few places. Looked uncomfortable! herb garden

This isn't related to animals but I'm excited. I just got a bunch of herbs, dirt, and a planter and I'm going to make a little herb garden for my patio. I've been wanting to use more fresh herbs when I cook since I'm cutting down on salt. Great way to do it. Use fresh herbs! I love spring. read more

Gouldian finches

My gouldian finches are going through their second spring moult and what a mess! Feathers flying everywhere. I found a great way to help contain the mess. I have them in a big parrot cage and the wire goes down to the bottom, feathers and seeds fly out. A few robins from the flock …

Just saw a flock of migrating robins in my backyard in Louisiana. Up north we only ever saw them one at a time and they're a sure sign of spring! Down here we see them only when they're on their migrating travels but in huge quantities. read more
