I was working on my landscape yesterday and came acrossed an anole that was moulting. It was completely covered with a veil of loose skin that was only attached in a few places. Looked uncomfortable! This isn't related to animals but I'm excited. I just got a bunch of herbs, dirt, and a planter and I'm going to make a little herb garden for my patio. I've been wanting to use more fresh herbs when I cook since I'm cutting down on salt. Great way to do it. Use fresh herbs! I love spring. read more

My Egyptian Mau cat has finished his medicine for a month and goes back next week to get his liver enzymes checked. I've been giving him the vet's version of SAMe everyday and he's been on Science Diet's weight loss cat formula. He's lost about 1/2 a pound this past month. My gouldian finches are going through their second spring moult and what a mess! Feathers flying everywhere. I found a great way to help contain the mess. I have them in a big parrot cage and the wire goes down to the bottom, feathers and seeds fly out.
