There is this neat organization called Saving Shelter Pets that rescues animals from kill shelters and transports them to no-kill facilities to be adopted out. We took the wheelchair to Twist, the handicapped chihuahua at our shelter. I was surprised that he had absolutely no problem at all with it. He was not distressed at being velcroed into it, and when let go, he was off! It looks like the lady from the General Store is going to adopt the handicapped chihuahua from the shelter. Wednesday is his surgery day, they are going to remove the deformed back leg that impairs his movement.
