We have a squirrel super-highway on our roof. They jump from the cherry tree at one end of the house, to the roof, pitter-patter lickety-split to the oak tree at the other end. OR they run the other way. I guess spring is almost here.... Glad they have plenty of other places to nest, however. We don't want them in our chimney! read more

Someone I know had a puppy given to her, even though she said she couldn't handle one/didn't need one right now. Well, she has been a real trooper and taken very good care of the puppy and sought out some potential homes for it. It will be spending the weekend at its (maybe) new home. I really hope it all works out -- for everyone! read more

We've been playing inside games with Shandi lately. She really enjoys chasing an old tennis ball and learning to bring it back and drop-it. The rain is a good time for teaching new tricks and brushing-up on old ones! read more

I went out in the pouring rain to replenish Shandi's food supply. Unfortunately, the particular food she needed was out of stock. They said they hoped to have their shipment stocked by tomorrow afternoon. I'm glad Shandi seems to have enough to last 'til then! read more
