So, the new toy for Shandi didn't work out so well. Luckily it was on sale, and I don't feel too bad about it. A really neat idea, and may have worked well under other circumstances. We'll keep looking! For now, all is well. read more

Just bought Shandi a new toy, to hopefully keep her busy! She has just recently taken to chewing towels when left alone at home. She ate an entire dishtowel (which passed without incident) the other day, and last night chewed, and ate a portion of, her towel we use when she comes in from the rain. Boy, Shandi was one pooped-pooch!! She took a trip with us wherein we drove nearly 1,900 miles (most of that within CA!) She's pretty happy to be back home, but also really enjoyed the trip (& is probably dreaming of the next one!). read more

I wish more hotels/motels were accepting of pets. Okay, they are getting better. It is just frustrating when I have a very quiet and well-behaved large dog, who is way over the 25 lb. weight limit and the people in the next room can bring in two yapping dogs!
