I started to write my journal about something completely different, but had to stop to go move a cat. We seem to have too many free roaming cats here right now. They are all owned, but are of the outdoor variety. Several are not altered... Then people wonder about cat over-population and the lack of native/wild songbirds....(etc.) read more

Well, I'm glad to say that the early heat has abated here, for at least at little while! Shandi is VERY happy about the cooler weather -- she is enjoying her walks and hikes so much more. This is sure one crazy spring. Last week we had some chilly temps. (even at freezing overnight); this week is starting off in the 90s!!! The weather promises to cool off later in the week -- I'll believe it when I see it! Poor Shandi is just not ready for this. She is really blowing her coat & trying to keep cool. read more
