The Benadryl Fiasco

Recently Kelsie was perscribed liquid Benadryl for her skin allergies, since the pills are too strong for her. Well, it's been one heck of a time getting her to take her medicine. It's not a pill so it can't be put in chesse; Dang it. That's how we do her heartworm pill (thank you Betty for that tip!) Anywho, I went to give her the Benadryl with the little syringe like thing that was given to me to give her the medicine. Kelsie's getting all fixed up

Well, we got the flea issue taken care of. That Frontline Dr. Brown, the vet, gave us works like a charm! I was surprised, since we had used a few other things before, and they didn't do anything. But that Frontline is THE BERRIES! Also found out that Kelsie has some skin allergies, so she's been perscribed Benadryl. She gets the liquid, not the pills, 'cause they're too strong. So she gets' half a tea spoon, which we put in this dropper thing to give to her. Hopefully all the itchiness will go… read more

WARNING: Swiffer Users....

A new study has shown that the chemical solution in the swiffer vaccum, is one chemical short of being antifreeze. So if your dog walks on your floor and happens to lick their paws or something, they could be exposed to the dangerous chemicals. Kelsie's aunt Sandy dumped all the solution out and cleaned it really well, then replaced it with WINDEX, which has the same effect as the swiffer solution, without the harsh chemicals. read more

Warning: Pet Toy Hazard News

A new artilce, on www.9news.com, says to be leery about purchasing some pet toys, partuclarly those made in china or made out of plastic. 1. China made toys: they are still studying this, but have reason to believe that some pet toys that were made in China may also contain lead paint. 2. Platic toys: They also say that some shelters are no longer using plastic toys due to a choking hazard. I am now VERY careful when choosing a toy for Kelsie.
