A dog's nose knows!

Maggie finds dead raccoon 6 …

While on our morning walk around our property and through the ravine, two of our dogs, Shorty and Maggie, alerted on a mysterious smell. I couldn't see anything except a large fallen tree limb, so I went over to see what they were investigating. It was a dead racoon. Poor thing! read more

Zeke is the eldest of our four dogs. He is so funny to watch when he rolls to scratch at itch on his back. He wiggles and it shows that he is really enjoying himself. But he sure does get dirty. read more

This morning, we found all of our horses to be in a big stir, running in circles and alerting on our neighbor's fenceline. They must have thought it was the devil himself, who had come to eat them up, in the form of three black-faced sheep who had gotten loose from their pasture. The horses just didn't know what to make of them. read more

I made the mistake of pushing Belle Star's training a little too fast, too soon, and accomplished making her afraid to be haltered now. I've been trying for over a month to regain her trust.
