Today is Desi's 2nd birthday and I am thankful to have him in my life. He was a puppy left on the side of the road in Ellijay, GA. with his two brothers. A woman stopped & picked up the three puppies. She found a home for one and brought the remaining two to Homeward Bound Pet Rescue. When I read the journal entry it reminded me of a dog of ours: Woody. Woody was a Golden Retreiver /Lab mix. Big beautiful red-hued dog that I adopted back in 1994. It has become a routine of sorts to bring the staff at the vet's office Hershey's chocolates and Reese's whenever I have an appointment or stop in to pick up a prescription. Hunter was very happy to return home last evening. All of his lumps(3)were removed successfully and he is doing quite well. He had a peaceful evening, he is a very good patient.
