OK. Daisy and Barley have gone to their homes. It broke my heart to seperate them but I guess thats life. They both went to what seem like great homes. I wish them lots of luck and many happy doggie years ahead. I love you 2! read more

Barley's new mom and dad came to visit him today. Their application looked great so we set up a visit. He loved them and I try to see how the animals pick out their new humans. This is going to be a happy ending...after all my tears dry up! read more

Finally, Barley has developed interest in eating real food. He has been lapping at canned puppy food but now seems to be eating it. I even gave him a kibble nugget and he crunched it and ate it. Sigh of relief. read more

I hate seeing dogs chained. That isnt any life at all. I hate it even more this time of year when it's cold, icy and snowy out. Why even bother having a pet if it's being abandoned in the yard with a chain??? I wish VA had laws protecting these dogs. read more

I have a foster puppy. I also have his mother. I am having a very hard time thinking about adopting him to a forever home. I know it's what I wanted to accomplish but he was the only baby in his litter and he's gotten a lot of attention from me. He is 5 weeks old so I have a handful of weeks left with him. read more
