I use to breed pure bread dogs and loved them dearly, but within the last 5 years, I have become a true believer in adopting Shelter animals. 1st came Dickens. He was a 2 month old kitten that was brought to the shelter with a prolapsed rectum because of having so many perasites. They were going to put him to sleep, but there was something about him that won me over. My husband and I fostered him for over a month.
