Buck was a dog that just wandered up to our daughter's house in Adair County many years ago. Of course she fed him and gave him shelter and he hung around for nearly 10 years before they had to have him put down. Don't know where he came from but he stumbled onto a good home. RIP Buck. read more

The older Sally gets the more anti-social she becomes. She is especially jealous of other dogs. I think a lot of it is that she doesn't feel well. Old ladies do get cranky. read more

There's a gully near the pond and undoubtedly there are beasts living there. It occupies a good deal of the girls' attention when we go for walks. Since it's nothing we can easily see - I hope we never find out what it actually is. read more

Some of the fat head minnows (or minners as they are called in this area :) didn't make it. Next time I need to take someone with me so they can hold the bag upright in the car so the fish don't get jammed in a corner.
