The sad thing about the end of the shelter make over contest is that thousands of participants have left the site. No doubt many were disappointed with the results and for that I miss seeing their posts. Many creative, smart, and thoughful writers have moved on to other venues. Sorry to see the exodus. read more

The pressure of the make-over contest was intense but the joy of making friends both close and far away has been most rewarding. Several of us have been making a game of it tonight so for that I am most greatful. Sets us up for some interesting pajama parties in the future. All are welcome in NJ for tours of St. Hubert's and Liberty Humane. read more

Ironic that on the last 2 days of voting in the make-over my computer would act up and not allow me to vote. Luckily I could clear the cookies off DH's laptop and vote for Liberty NJ.
