Wow. A lovely day today. The town parade was so Americana that it brought tears to my eyes. Scouts, elementary school bands, fire trucks! Many people had dogs with them in the shade and Jett made many new friends. And hot hogs were had at the Elks Lodge afterwards. What could be better? read more

Today's the day to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to their country. Flags at half staff until noon, parades, cemetery visits. We got so much work done today at home and even had time to take Mom for a spin around Home Depot. Strangest thing was that when I was cutting Truffles nails and she was having a bit of a fit, Monty took it upon himself to intervene by bitting her and pulling out great tufts of her fur.
