The Jefferson County SPCA is unique in that Fort Drum is located in its service area. With troops being deployed on a daily basis, and families having to be relocated because of this deployment, sometimes family pets have to also be relocated. It is not always feasible for a family to take their loving pets with them, so a visit is made to the SPCA. Our local SPCA is full to capacity at all times.
