In my daily routine I find myself stopping and wondering what's wrong. I spent a couple of hours today getting Sniper's litter boxes, beds, toys, etc. out of the house. My husband had said, "It's bad enough that we've lost him, but to be reminded every time I turn around is too much." Hence, the housecleaning. We miss him a lot. read more

I forgot to mention in my journal about Sniper dying how strange Webster acted this morning when I put Sniper in the carrier and carried him out of the house. Webster, cried, ran around and was generally so agitated. We had to put Sniper to sleep this morning. He had seemed to be getting better, but when I came home last night he had gone all over the living room with a tarry black smelly diarhia. At 17 years old, I didn't want to put him through the stress of going to the vet, and I've known he was failing for several months. Still, it was very hard to do. … read more

We just realized that Webster will be 9 years old in April or May, and Rags turns 8 on January 14. Time goes by so quickly, and before we know it, our cute little puppies are walking a little slower, not hearing quite so well and sleeping a lot more.
