The daffodils in my front yard suddenly popped up. From not being there at all, they are now almost six inches high! I think they are my favorite flower. Just pop a bulb in the ground and they not only come back year after year, but the actually multiply. It's a lazy gardner's dream come true. read more

Right now there are three dogs in my very small office. My dog Rags is here, along with two St. Hubert's alums, one a dog from Puerto Rice and the other came from a Lab mix litter. The pups are so good and everyone had a great time playing. read more

We have a stray cat around our house. Actually, I don't know that it's a stray, but it has no collar. It comes on our deck and peers in the sliding glass door. The dogs' reaction is funny. They don't bark at it like they would at a dog, they just stand and stare, and the cat stares back. He just appeared last weekend. I'll have to ask around … read more
