Butt whorls!

Does every short-coated breed of dogs have little whorls on their butts? You know, right at the tops of their legs? I think this is the cutest thing. I hope no one thinks I'm being creepy or anything. I just think it's so weird how fur grows on certain parts of a dog's body. Cowlicks are funny too. Although sometimes they're not as visible on a short-coated dog, my dobie used to have two cowlick patches where her fur grew the wrong way. Verrrrrry cute. read more

Tail trauma!

My poor little Brockie-Boy was acting funny last night and today. He was having trouble getting comfortable and his tail was hanging like a limp noodle. I knew something was wrong so I examined it and sure enough, he yiped when I touched it. I took him to the vet and they said he had some swelling and a little "kink" in it but that it was not broken [whew]. They gave him some anti-inflammatory drugs and we are going to try to keep him low key for the next 4 days. N… read more

I caught Calvin and Brock licking each other's faces last night and I just about died from the cuteness. They've come a long way from the initial animosity toward each other. Now they're brothers and best friends. I love it when a plan comes together! read more
