I have always loved animals. Being involved with my local shelter has allowed me to help homeless pets and make some great friends. I feel that a home without pets is merely a house.

Beagles are Singing the Suitcase Blues

The furkids suspected something was up. Kelsey and Bailey saw me folding clothes and putting them in a basket to go into another room. The pack grew restless. They heard me call a friend to watch the house next week. And they grew more suspicious. And then there was the telltale sound of the suitcase wheels as they came out of the extra bedroom. Worn out from the weekend

This afternoon I traveled with a friend and 2 of the pack to Indianapolis. Tomorrow is their Humane Society's Mutt Strut. I have never been before, but have always wanted to go. It takes place at the Speedway and we will get to walk around the track! … read more

For most people this time of year is known as Spring, but to me it's the Muddy Season. The are certain signs that this season is upon me - the large number of towels used to wipe off muddy and/or wet dogs, the almost constant hum of the washer and dryer trying to keep up with the towel demand,as well as the somewhat obsessive compulsive insistence with all pack members to go in and out as much as possible. Yes, while I'm glad for the warmer wind that began to blow and the budding… read more
