Boo has shown a lot more trust. He now sleeps on the bed at my feet. Instead of meowing half the night when he is lonely he snuggles up to my legs. The only downside to this is if he wants me to wake up he bats at my feet. He also likes laying on a towel on the foot of the bed during the day and looking out the window. On warm days when I can leave the window up with the screen down he lays right in the window sill. read more

Petting Boo

April 29th, 2008. Amazing the frightened, skittish feral cat we brought indoors on Dec. 14th has allowed himself to be rubbed and petted. He's still a little nervous but he didn't scratch or bite. I read so many articles about feral cats that said it wasn't possible to tame a feral cat and a few that said it was well worth the try. I'm really glad I chose to believe the later. Boo is such a funny beautiful creature. He is well worth the effort. He is my first cat and I'm glad I have him. read more

Taking a chance

His name is Peekaboo but we call him Boo for short. He is quite the character. He was born to a feral cat, who still lives in our garage with another of her kittens. They were born on or about Memorial Day. We have had Mama and Boo spayed and neutered. The other kitten who we call Petey will be going to the shelter soon to be neutered as well.
