I'm not sure what goes on in person's head when they think that feeding an outdoor cat until it loses it's hair and lies half conscious from a heavy attack of flea anemia is helping out. This is funny whenever I think about it. Years ago, someone's kid was walking their weimeraner and the dog took off running, dragged the kid into the woods and started licking and chewing on the kid's hair. The kid wasn't harmed at all. Although, I could be mixing stories up but even so it's hilarious in my head, haha. read more

It's nice to see that we are getting a number of volunteers into our shelter who want to do more than just walk dogs. Especially when the turnover rate for staff is pretty high. Also, it's awesome to see so many people support AHHS on Zootoo. Props to any volunteers or supporters who are working to make a difference. read more
