Fairfield Inn by Marriott Helena

I've stayed overnight in Helena quite a bit over the years, including at this Fairfield Inn. It's typical of the nice high-middle-price hotels/motels you find near the Capitol I-15 exit, and it's a perfectly good place to stay -- unless you're traveling with your dog, in which case you'll have to make other arrangements.

Pros: Very clean; a few rooms with jetted tubs

Cons: Firm "no pets" policy except for seeing-eye dogs
