Pros: This salt lick holder keeps a 50lb salt off the ground
Cons: it can get turned over and the horses can paw the lick out of holder

This works pretty well for keeping the salt lick from getting dirty and wet. Sometimes who have to put it back in holder because horses will knock it out. The holder has holes in the bottom so water drains out. If it rains too much the salt can melt and plug up the holes so it's better if you can keep it under cover
