I like to keep a syringe of "bute" around for my horses in case they come up with any extended soreness or play a little too hard outside. The anti-inflammatory properties are great as well as providing pain relief for the horse as well. Be careful about how long you use it at one time as it has been known to cause stomach problems in some horses when used for extended periods of time.
