I bought a green one for my horse when I bought her two years ago. It has hardly faded at all and no rust on the hardware. I love these halters. they look nice and continue to do so for a long time. I have even tossed mine in the washing machine a few times.
Just don't toss them in the dryer. They can shrink.;)
