Pros: fresh water is always available

Cons: what happens if it fails?

I love these waterers, I want one and have had my horses in pastures where they are. I have only one concern, what if they break or there is a problem even unrelated to the product and there is no water? You really have to have a backup plan, keep an eye on it to make sure it's always working and has water in the bowl. Horses appear to love using it too.

You and me both, but my horses have been in pastures where we boarded and it was so nice. No filling stock tanks all the time, my gosh, I can tell you that I really do not like dealing with frozen stock tank where the birds like to sit on the ice and drink the water then poop on the ice so you can't just add water. It's disgusting. I do put water in smaller containers for my cats. You would think they would just drink out of that and not cover the stock tank with their poo.
