If your dog displays coughing, especially a dry, unproductive cough, and difficulty breathing, you should not delay in seeking medical attention. Weakness -- such as a lack of energy or tiring easily -- can also be a sign of heart problems. Even if you’ve never practiced CPR on an animal, try on the way to the veterinarian. Anything can help.
