It was last minute, our usual choices were booked, and we got space here. When we dropped our dogs off, the place seemed normal. The smell was tolerable too (although our usual place was by far better). The cost was $10/day/dog with a 5% discount for multiple pets. We dropped them off late afternoon.

When we picked them up two days later, we were charged for three days. They don't count by the hour (so 24 hrs = 1 day) or the night but by the actual day. So if you drop your dog off at 4 p.m. Monday and pick them up at 2 p.m. Tuesday, that's two days - Monday is one day, Tuesday is another day. Wow, ok, so I didn't ask, but I've never been charged that way before and it's not like they're a doggy daycare with full activities, which do charge by the day and night.

Our dogs were also so stinky and my pup just took a bath before I dropped him off. They smelled like urine and just unkept kennel smell. The drive home was horrible. Oh, I forgot to mention, the smell outside of the facility was horrible when we picked them up.

I can handle the price and the stink. What bugged me, still do, the most is that I left them with a brand new 5 lb bag of food. The food is super premium, it's no grocery store food, this is high calorie food and they can only take 1 cup/day. When I picked them up (and they only had to eat 4 times or 2 cups each for the duration of the stay) I only received a little over a lb of food. WTH?

Do they just not care and just dumped the food in their bowls and just left them for the TWO days they were there or did they steal food? When I asked the girl about it, she just casually thought it was no big deal -- and oh, there's a bit left on their bowl that she can grab for me. No, that's not the point, that's not good animal care. What if my dog had special needs?

Never again will we bring our pets there plus the kennels were so small compare to others. On top of all that, when we came in for pick-up, they raised their price to $19/day. Wow!

I've taken my dogs to Wee-Bark kennel for 3 years and have never had an experience like yours. It has always been clean and my pet well cared for. I happen to like how they charge, if you pick up by noon, there is no charge for that day.
