Our dog was shedding in ridiculous amounts. She hadn't shed much in the months prior and we though December was a really odd--and unfortunate--time to drop her winter coat. (It was below zero outside!) Anyway, brushing her at home wasn't doing the trick. So we took her in for a bath and brush. The groomers did a nice job and are VERY nice. They were mindful of her social ineptitudes and made sure she was placed where she wouldn't get too stressed out. She still had some shedding afterwards, but she certainly looked a lot better when she came home!

Pros: Nice, clean dog afterwards...handled her well, didn't mind her "quirks"

Cons: Have to go through the store with a dog who doesn't do so great on the lead.
