I first spoke to Pets & Company a few weeks before I was going to board my dog. I told them I needed to pick my dog up on a Sunday because I work on Mondays. They said that it would be OK for me to pick my dog up on Sunday. When I brought my dog to be boarded they told me I could either pick my dog up at 11 AM or 4 PM on Sunday because they were not open on Sundays. We decided on the 4 PM pick up. They had me pay in advance, since I would be picking my dog up on a day they normally did not do business. I asked for a phone number to call in case they forgot that I would be picking my up. They said that would not be necessary because they would not forget; they live on the property. (They also mentioned something about people climbing over the fence to pick up their dogs.)

When I arrived to pick my dog up at 3:45 PM on the agreed upon Sunday, no one was in the office. I waited until 4 PM and started knocking on the door. I knocked for about 20 minutes. Then I started blowing my horn. I blew my horn for about 20 minutes. I spoke to their neighbors and the neighbor told me the owners had gone away for the week-end.

I waited until about 5:30 PM until a young man walked in from the kennel area into the office area. He let me in. The young man told me no had told him I was going to pick up my dog that day!! He gave me my dog and I left.

Pros: The location.

Cons: They lied to me.
