PetCo

The employees at Petco are wonderful, my dog loved them instantly and I no guilt or concern leaving him at the store. Unfortunately, the two times I had my long-hair lab mix in for grooming, he shed worse than ever for the week afterwards. I finally realized he needed a lot more time on his undercoat and did it at home with a rake, resulting in less than half the normal amount of hair I pick up each week.

The prices are great, but in this case, I got what I paid for. I'll have to find another groomer that will put in the time to really get at the undercoat. If he were short hair or didn't shed, I'd take him back everytime. I use Petco for all my food and supplies and love it.

Pros: Close to home and trust employees

Cons: Did not do a great job with my long-haired dog
