Lakeland SPCA

This place killed my cat in less than 24 hours! I decided to surrender my cat due to financial reasons. I dropped him off at 4 pm. I told them that I would pick him up and continue looking for a home for him if they deemed him unadoptable for any reason. I immediately found a friend who was able to adopt him. The following day by 11 am they had already euthanized him. They told me they would keep him for a few days to give him an opportunity to find a new home. This place does not look into the best interest of the animal. They would rather euthanize then return an animal to an owner who repeatedly stated they were willing to take back the animal and find it a home. Death was not the only option. I made a terrible mistake and wholeheartedly regret it.

2 of my 4 furbabies came from the SPCA. They are such a very special part of my life. I hope that I can help in this small way to show my greatfulness for the love that the SPCA has brought to my life. I am really enjoying sharing my thoughts, ideas, videos, and pictures. I've gotten many of my human family members interested as well. I hope we win this makeover!!!!!
