Abused Horses

I rescue horses too, and I receive calls from people who willingly gave up their horses to me to find a good home for. I assure them that I am still watching over the horse, monitoring it's diet, vet visits, farrier, etc. I will tell her all about how well the horse is doing, maybe even have pics to show them (most of the horses were abused and/or neglected), but I will never give them a person's name or city that the horse lives in. I will pass messages between them, as long as there is no bad intent. But, once I receive a horse from someone, they have no right to know WHERE the horse is. I don't want an issue to develop like has developed with this loon that you are being confronted by. You can call 911 if you feel she is over the top in her confrontations, please remember that! I would also discuss her with the new owners, any rescue organizations you have dealt with, and I would strongly consider a restraining order if she came around again.
Good Luck!
