The brand-name food

no wonder! at one point in time, I had 3 crabs. Two of them died within a month of each other. I was looking at the food that I was feeding them, and it included Copper Protienate. Is that enough to kill the hermit crabs with out the other chemical?

I would like to take part in this discussion.

We feed our crabby's lots of veggies, fruit, bloodworms, dried shrimp, dried alge, cuttle bone, we limit commertionaly prepaired food because that is not what they find in nature.

One of our tasks is to find a plant that we could grow in their tanks that is safe for them, ya know, something they can climb on and munch on that won't harm them. There isn't a lot of discussions on the major hermit crab sites about natural fauna.
