Is it safe to paint your hermies shell?

You should never attempt to paint a hermit crab's shell!!! You should love your hermit crab for it's heart not it's shell. The paint can also have toxic chemicals in it that the hermit crabs can pick off and eat. Never provide your crabs with painted shells and don't paint the shells. This is extremely close to the verge of abuse.

Its ok they dont mind. Just try it. and it wont be hurting you! HA ha
