Hiring New Kennel Staff

I'm in charge of doing the hiring the kennel staff. Does anyone have any good tips or questions for me to ask? What do you look for when you hire staff?
Thanks for any hand anyone can lend!

I agree with everyone here. Allowing people to Volunteer gives them a sense of the duties they will be doing day to day.Check on their interaction with the animal and temperament with the dogs. Do they get frustrated to fast, yell, pull on the dogs, kick them away. Do they start off good but begin to slack off. Ask them do a trial period for a few days and then discuss with them what they liked and didn't like about the work. Then you can see who best fits into your kennel facility.
