Sunday (Easter Sunday) there will be a Parade, friendly contests, and the ability to adopt and donate.
The schedule looks like this:
11am "Pooch" Parade Registration
12:45pm Parade of Adoptable Dogs
1pm Pooch Parade & Costume Contest (explained below)
2pm EASTER EGG HUNT
3pm Dallas Symphony Orchestra Performance
The event will be held at:
Robert E. Lee Park at the corner of Turtle Creek Blvd & Lemmon Ave
3301 Turtle Creek Blvd
Dallas, TX 75219
IT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Round up the family, kids, blankets and bonnets for an entertaining afternoon of music & picnic lunches!
Guest are invited to bring picnic lunches or may purchase a wide variety of "State Fair-type" foods, such as corn dogs & funnel cakes at the venue.
The entire event benefits beautifications projects in teh Turtle Creek corridor - which is where many of us locals love to take our dogs to relax.
Registration cost $10/dog/category for the contests.
The categories are:
1. Best Big Dog
2. Best Little Dog
3. Best Dressed Dog, and
4. Best Owner/Dog Look-A-Like (how hilarious!)
Celebrity judges will be onhand to decide the best in each of the four categories.
