Triple Trouble Waitin' To Happen

I have many doxies....most I acquired through my own private rescue, that I began 10 years ago. I lost my first two original doxies in 2008, they were both 17 years old....they started it all....my love for doxies! I tell people, if you don't like dogs...then do not come to my house! You'll see dogs with diapers on (the puppymill/breeder rescues, who will never be completely housebroken due to various reasons)....you'll have doxie's are your lap when you sit down....you will have doxies doin' tricks with their toys for you....you will have doxies following you to the bathroom....you will get doxie kisses....you will be doxified when you leave!! Then throw in a Afghan Hound, Giant Schnauzer, Toy Aussie & a lil' Chihuahua named Sophie. Back to doxies....I have smooth coats, longhairs & wirehairs....reds, diluted-reds, dapples, fawn isabellas, wheaton, black & tan and chocolates. Over the past 17 years I have learned alot about dachshunds. "Knock On Wood"....no serious disc/back problems....thank you God! But, I find you can never ever have too much info & you are never done seeking info....especially if your furbabies are like your children!

I have a black long haired and a short hair red minature dachshund. My husband got them for me last Thanksgiving 2008. They are the love of our lives. Both of them have their own personalities. Liley just turned a year old this month and Lacey will be a year old in October. Liley is so protective of me when I am out walking them and Lacey will go up to anyone. But when daddy gets home from work it is all about him. He has to give love and kisses first thing. He stated they would never sleep with us HA!HA! They sleep with us every night and between my husband and the girls I hardly have room in the bed. My mom has not been a pet lover much but when these girls came into the picture things changed. She lets them in her bed and on her. Wonders amaze me.

My husband started my love of Doxies. He bought us a red sable when we bought our house. He 3 yrs old and I love him very much. Cy is a great dog. We recently added another doxie. His name is Tornado. We call him Tory. He is a long hair chocolate and tan dapple with one brown and one blue eye. He is now 9 mnths old. They are such sweet hearts. I so desperately want a female doxie. I want to dress her up and just spoil her. I know you can dress the boys but my hubby wont let me. lol My Cur thinks he is a doxie. He can't understand why he doesn't fit on my chest anymore. I have and always will be an animal lover. But I think there is a very special part of my heart and soul that is taken by doxies. Once they touch your heart you are never the same.
