Hound Dog Homecoming

April 27, 2009 | By Heather S. | 8 comments

Becks/Chase, a foster who was just returned to me.

First, thank you and congratulations to all of you! It was a crazy morning around here but suprisingly, it has been a rather quiet afternoon. Perhaps the calm before the storm?

It is time to get on the ball with Hound Dog Homecoming...

Because of the massive amount of events that we have been involved in, we decided to cancel Hound Dog Homecoming for this coming weekend and change the date to the 28th of June. Several people have expressed interest in helping with this fun event. It is time for us to get busy on the planning. The good news is that I had a good start before we chose to cancel the event.

So my first step is to recruit a committee. Once we get that committee together, we can set a meeting date. I would love to meet this weekend but unfortunately it will probably have to be a morning or lunch meeting for me since I have kid duty every night this week.

If you are interested in being on this committee, please let me know as soon as possible. THis is a very fun event and if you have felt yourself a little leary about getting involved, this is a great event to get involved in.

If you have questions, let me know. Better yet, send me an email if you want to get involved!

It's an old wives' tale... The "q" word is "quiet." Hospital staff, police, etc have superstitions about using that word (as in, "Sure is quiet tonight") because inevitably, whenever someone uses "the q word," there's a train accident or some other major catastrophe immediately afterward. I bet they had 10 intakes after-hours as soon as Heather posted this! lol
