I have know idea if Patty was a doing anything wrong or if she is just a "scape goat", but at this low time at CMHS I think it was the right thing for her to do. I have been very frustrated with CMHS as have a lot of other people and they have had so much bad press and through this all it is the animals who suffer. So maybe with Patty's resignation we can all move forward and make the CMHS something we can all be proud of.

I have to admit I was a little bit surprised when I saw the article in the Tribune yesterday. I hadn't been "in the know" about all the things going on behind the scenes and preferred to keep it that way for the benefit of the animals. I basically went into the shelter and got my animals for transport to Pepper & Friends and the nursing home and returned them. I attended the last two board meetings and felt like Patty might have redeemed herself after the presentation last week. The board seemed supportive that night.
The board is making a lot of positive changes. They are listening to staff, fosters and volunteers and using the input when making decisions. That's so important for the success of the shelter.
