Photographing my black cat

I agree, even natural light that may be coming into a room from an outside source, just keep the source at your back and in the face of the cat. I have to turn off my flash or I get big glowing eyes instead of the natural looking ones.

My black cat, Edgar Allan Poe, has a very shiny coat so photographing him has been a lot easier than I initially suspected. Professional groomers often use mink oil on black dog or cat who needs to be photographed to make them shinier & thus more easily photographed. BioGroom makes a mink oil coat spray at a reasonable price if you want to take it that far ;)
