news article on black cats

I'm new here. I didn't see this article, but I've heard for some time now that adoptions for black cats are not done anymore at shelters or rescues, and adopting of any cat is generally discouraged on Halloween. I think it's a good idea. The world is filled with some very disturbed people and if this will in some way save some cats lives, I'm all for it.

I didn't read the article- I think black cats can give good luck to their owners. Little Black Kitty is a cherished family member and I love him very much.
