LOOKING FOR A LAWYER WHO LOVES HORSES
Please help me, get the horses to a safer place to live. We have a surveillance camera on the barn because the seller’s purchased the land from the neighbors who keep watching us putting in french drains. The seller’s have family in Brashear and I fear for the dogs and our horses. We found a decapitated rabbit in Moose’s stall 4/17. Today 5/9 we had another run in with them because they were in their car watching us working in the yard. Police were called.

Hey, Denise! I'm so sorry to hear about all the problems you have had with your horses and property in your efforts to re-home deserving horses along with Habitat for Horses. What you are trying to do is admirable; what's happening to you is inexcusable. It's hard to believe that the ACLU won't help. I don't know anything about your location in Brashear, but is there a university or branch of one with an associated law school located anywhere near you? Most law schools allow and supervise their students in doing some percentage of pro bono work. Is that a possibility for you? Can Jerry Finch suggest an interested and qualified attorney who may be able to take your case as part of his pro bono work? Could someone foster your horses for now while you continue to explore your options? Best of luck in your fight to resolve this injustice, and please let us know what happens.
