How did you get your 'Tzu?

We had a Maltese, who we all loved dearly, and who had lived a very short life of only 4 3/4 years, pass away 3 days before my daughters birthday, (November 13, 2007). We had chosen him as an 8 week old puppy and brought him home when I was about 2 months pregnant with my daughter. His passing was really quick and tragic for all of us, so we went a few months without really planning on getting another dog, although the thought was in my head, and I had begun researching into other breeds we might be interested in. I knew I didn't want another Maltese at this point, because I didn't want to replace him or his memory, just the absence of having a dog in the house. I knew that my husband kinda liked the Shih-Tzu breed, so I began researching that breed. One day, while browsing online about different dog breeds, I found an add for Shih-Tzu's that were affordable for us. So, I talked to my husband, and a while later we were off on a drive to meet Kipper and bring him home.

I found my shih tzu in the middle of the night, in the cold and rain. Cars were driving around her trying not to run her over. So i pulled the car over got and pick her up and took her home with me. She has been in our my life ever sense.
